Interviewer - The Times Final Year Student Survey 2025


High Fliers Research, in association with The Times, is currently recruiting a team of Interviewers to conduct a series of surveys, conducted for The Times Final Year Student Survey 2025.. This paid, part-time position will be a great addition to your CV, and will provide invaluable first-hand marketing experience, whilst also developing key skill areas such as: communication, time management and organisation.

What is The Times Final Year Student Survey?

The Times Final Year Student Survey 2025 is an innovative annual study of students at 30 of the UK's top universities and aims to gain an insight into the current graduate market by finding out about finalist’s graduate job hunting experiences. The 2024 survey included responses from over 14,000 interviews conducted at leading universities across the country.

What do applicants need to demonstrate?

  • A wide network of contacts, specifically fellow final year students across campus
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Attributes such as self-motivation, determination, and the dedication to hit set targets

What does the job involve?

The role requires you to carry out a number of structured interviews with fellow final year students from your university. Interviews take part over a 10-day period at the start of February, known as The Live Survey Period. Your role will involve recruiting and interviewing 20-25 final year students (depending on your university and target). Each interview session will take approximately 20 minutes, and should be conducted individually either in person or via video call. All materials and resources will be provided during a one-hour training session, which will be held before you begin your interviews. Your University Manager will be in touch regularly to help you meet your target by the end of the period.

We estimate that full completion of the role takes just over 8 hours, which can be completed in your own time. You will be paid per survey you carry out. As an additional incentive, your overall pay will double upon reaching your target. You will also receive a full professional reference for your time as Interviewer.

Please note, this role requires interviews to be conducted with your network of final-year undergraduate students only. Therefore, it is essential that penultimate year, first year and postgraduate applicants have a strong network of final year undergraduate contacts.
